Today is Tuesday. The second week of November. My second month here in Guatemala.

I want to take you through what today looked like, cause I thought it would be fun to bring you along!

I got to join our village ministry team today, which was so sweet! For the last year they have been going up to a village and ministering, evangelizing, doing house visits, and teaching an English class for the kids. They are slowly making relations with the locals and are expectant to start Bible studies in this village in the near future. I got to go up to this village once last year, so it was refreshing being able to go back. Familiar roads. Familiar doors. Familiar views.

We started the morning out heading up to the village, which sits on the top of a mountain. As ministry goes, it often looks much different than you could expect. I love this about ministry!! We follow the leading of the Lord! We went up with the intention of house visits, yet we saw a friend working in their field so we stopped. This ended up with us walking down their land, down the mountain, to a small valley where a small stream ran through. We continued hiking through the small stream and were mesmerized by the beauty of creation. So much abundance on this land.

We shared many laughs as we hiked for two hours, some in birkenstocks and skirts. I don’t think a Tuesday morning could have been more life giving!! When we hiked back up, we were able to spend some time with the family. This is a family that the team here has known for the alar 5 years! How special to be invited into that relationship!! We spent time sharing scripture, words from the Lord, and praying for the family. Such a beautiful morning.

In the afternoon we got to do an English class with kids from the same village. Learning simple phrases, playing English games, and getting to do a small Bible study with them. These kids are something special!! Full of life and a whole lot of energy. They are eager to learn English!

This was a day filled with the unexpected, yet one of my favorite days here so far. God is pursuing his children and I get to be his hands and feet on earth.

The days all look different. Some days look like this. Some days are hanging out with the Gap Squad. Some days are evangelism in the local towns. Some days are staff meetings and worship nights. Some days are activations and equipping people to be sent out. Some are movie days and hangin with friends. And some days are sabbath.

Each day filled with presence and intimacy.

Each day a new invitation into experiencing more of God.

Each day filled with more glory. From glory to glory.

Thanks God.
