Here starts a month of intentionality.
A month of living simple.
A month where my priority is Jesus, people, adventure, and rest.
A month where I will learn to trust deeper, take bigger risks, enjoy the sun, step out of my comfort zone, fundraise, and watch God work.
A month full of abundance.
There is something about the finality of one season, one chapter closing, as you get ready to embark on a new one. Reality sets in as there is no more leaning on the old and letting it distract and keep you from what is next. There is no more changing your mind and letting fear keep you in the same place. It is final. The moment that I walked out of the shelter for the last time, there was this moment of panic and excitement. I began to question if I was doing the right thing. Fear becomes loud when we step into faith. But I quickly remembered where the Lord had called me. It is a vulnerable place to be. The inbetween, especially when you have no control, is not comfortable or a place we like to go often. However, it is a perfect place for growth. A perfect place to remember how faithful God has been. But the enemy will be trying hard to disrupt this season, so it also is a season where I daily have to choose where I am looking and finding identity.
A month of intentionality.
I am excited to have this time off. I am excited to be able to enjoy summer with friends and family. I am excited to have a slow, simple season.
It is so important to slow down. Our world is always on the move and we take slow time for granted. We do not allow ourselves to be bored. We think that we have to be productive all the time. I made a list of things I want to do this month. Things that will fill me up and bring me joy. Things that I will miss doing when I am gone. Much like how on sabbath you do things that bring you energy and joy, that is what this month is going to hold for me. Reading books, sitting at the lake, going on hikes, movie nights with friends, quiet times in nature, working out, and really pressing into the small, simple moments of each day. Living in the abundance of the Father!!

This month is also where I will be doing a lot of fundraising. This is going to take time and work, but I have so many amazing people that have stepped up to help me. I am so stinking blessed by them!! Shirts, prayer bracelets, worship night(s), prayer, bake sales, and wherever else the Lord provides opportunity. Follow my new insta (@traveling_jacks) for all the updates!! The Lord has given me joy in this process, which is something that I usually do not have with fundraising. Continue in prayer with me as the Lord provides financially!
A month of stepping out in full trust.
THEN, in July I will be heading out to Gainesville, GA for TRAINING CAMP!!!! A week full of seeking the heart of Jesus, meeting new friends and my squad, getting placed on my team, learning to live in the uncomfortable situations, and overall getting equipped to be sent out on the field. This will set the stage for launch, which is in August.
This month is going to flyyy. Pray with me as I rest, prepare, and fundraise this month. Pray for my squad. Pray for those that we will encounter on the mission field. Pray for leadership. Pray that in everything we (my squad and I) do in this entire process, we bring glory to God!
